Parenting

I greet you

with arms I wish
were covered
with velvet,
to soften the blows
of a hundred
misfortunes.

When I help
to pick up
the pieces
I hold them gently,
privately acknowledging
the part they
play in making
you strong.

Nicely captures one of parentings great dilemmas. Looks like there will be plenty of nice memories to fall back on though :-)

Hi Travis - thank you :)

Hi Glenn, 'one' of parenting's dilemmas is right! Love it though, it is one of life's most amazing journeys. Yes, many great memories, and many more to come. For you too! The grass in that photo is where we are having our wedding ceremony!

Nice! I particularly liked the blade 2307 from the right.
