Synesthetic Time
Reading you
fires neurones
long ago left for dead.
My mind colours
a million possibilities,
and a myriad of futures
hover between a spectrum
of clearness and light.
Time takes on
the momentum of a surf wave
with decades morphing
into the turquoise depths
of a thousand centuries.
Consciousness
remains intimately bereft
of the experience
in a parallel life.
And death is a violent splash
in the moment of a rainbow.

This is AMAZING Leigh!
Thank you sir, I was in the (time) zone :)
I traveled with you as I read this. Excellent :)
Marco
I haven't commented in a while but I have been visiting to read your postings. You still blow me away.
Marco - thank you so much for visiting :)
Rebeleyeball - thank you so much for returning :)
I love that you measure time with explosive color.
And even make the prospect of death this dazzling kaliedoscope. Be not afraid.
Hi Rappaccini's daughter :), thanks for visiting again, I enjoyed writing this.
Hi Leigh, I enjoyed this very much. It has an even flow with some interesting images to consider. The last verse is brilliant and love the colors. Take care,
Bob
Hi Bob, thanks for visiting, and I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. It seemed to just flow when I wrote it, unlike other poems I have written that have not flowed at all! Hope you visit again, Leigh :)
